Access already-existing wallets by entering your 12-word backup phrase into the "Pair/Restore Wallet" feature. You can do this in two ways:
1. Pairing from a new install
If you have just downloaded Jaxx Liberty and are on the "Create New Wallet" or "Pair/Restore Wallet" screen:
-
Click on "Pair/Restore wallet" instead of "Create New wallet".
-
To continue, click "I agree" after reading the Terms of Service.
-
Tap"Enter Backup Phrase" or scan a QR code by tapping the camera icon (available for mobile devices only)
2. Pairing on an existing install
If you are already using Jaxx Liberty with a wallet, you can substitute the already-existing wallet you prefer to use. First, though, please make sure you have copied the 12-word backup phrase in use from Menu > Security > View Backup Phrase: substituting another wallet means your current wallet will be overwritten and you can only use that phrase to restore it.
-
Click ☰ in the upper right corner to open the Menu
-
Scroll down to "Tools" and select "Pair or Restore Jaxx Wallet"
-
(Enter security password if you have it enabled)
-
Click on Enter Backup Phrase or Camera Icon (available only for mobile devices)
So what's next?
After entering the correct backup phrase, the "Restore Wallet" button will light up: you can click it to start syncing your wallet. Scanning a QR code will automatically bring you to the orange "syncing" screen.
If the syncing has finished, you should see “Welcome to Jaxx Liberty” screen where you can click “Continue” to get to the main wallet page.
At this point, double-check that your backup phrase is correct by going to Menu > Settings > View Backup Phrase. The phrase shown should be the same as the one you have entered at “Pair or Restore Jaxx wallet”.
"Restore Wallet" button is inactive:
If you have entered your 12-word backup phrase but the "Restore Wallet" button is not turning orange, please make sure you spelled all the 12 words correctly, and have not inserted a space between any of the words.
